Axinn Library | Leo A. Guthart Cultural Center Theater
The Hofstra Cultural Center hosts lectures and panel presentations, musical performances, and films. The renovated space, designed with modern accessibility in mind, features a new seating layout, as well as a new lighting system. The updated stage has a more intimate relationship to the audience, and the redesigned wings have improved the acoustics. The auditorium also has state-of-the-art audiovisual and IT equipment, including multiple screens with projection and streaming capability.

Monroe Lecture Center | Helene Fortunoff Theater
Inside the Monroe Lecture Center, you will find The Helene Fortunoff Theater, which is home to many Hofstra Cultural Center lectures, readings, and events, as well as Music Department recitals and concerts. The space is renovated for better accessibility, so wheelchair users can enjoy presentations from the front and rear of the room, and for presenters to access the stage. The auditorium has been upgraded with a new LED lighting system, lighting and speaker rigging, state-of-the-art audiovisual and IT equipment, including multiple screens with projection and streaming capability, and a permanent technical control area. The updated stage features a wood wall upstage and a motorized curtain to allow acoustic fixability. The backstage area received a refresh including an ADA bathroom.
